Virtual Workshop - 8:00 PM EDT
Parliamentary Procedure by the Numbers
Mark Desrosiers, DMD, CP, RP
This interactive 75-minute workshop will cover parliamentary procedure from the view of mathematics, including:
- How many persons can preside at a meeting?
- How many motions can be immediately pending at a time under RONR? Under AIPSC?
- How many ways are there to close debate under RONR? Under AIPSC?
- How many privileged motions are in AIPSC? In RONR?
- How many incidental motions are in AIPSC? But how many are there if you include the "others"? What about RONR?
- What is the number of steps in making a motion in RONR? In AIPSC?
- What are the Specific Purpose Main motions in AIPSC (and how many are there)?
- What is (or isn't) parliamentary procedure calculus? Or is it just algebra?
Questions and answers will be taken both during and at the end of the workshop.
This workshop is approved for 1.5 CEUs on behalf of the National Association of Parliamentarians for NAP credential renewal
